Isla Pariti
Pariti is considered the cultural flagship of this part of Lake Titicaca. The impressive artistic heritage left here by the ancient settlers who once inhabited the island is composed of unique pottery objects of great beauty and mysticism.
Among the community's most notable residents is Isaac Callisaya, a major promoter of the area's culture through tourism. He himself tells us that the island enraptures travellers who visit it attracted by the energy of the lake. This does not surprise us given that rituals were performed on Pariti, as evidenced by the presence of a wide variety of ceremonial vessels typical of the Tihauanacota culture that spread throughout the region. Even today, the local population protects this heritage and performs rituals for the protection of the island.
