Colcha K
An area full of attractions to discover near the Salar de Uyuni
The rough-looking terrain of Colcha K is excellent for the production of royal quinoa. Cultivated fields of iridescent colours tell the story and poetry of these lands.
The origin of the name of this Bolivian municipality is very curious: Colcha is undoubtedly a Castilian transformation of the Quechua word Q'ochapata, which means "upper lagoon". The letter "K" was added in more recent times and refers to the telegraphic code that identified this area.
