Don Primo’s Hostel is the ideal destination for discovering the Aymara culture. A warm and welcoming retreat in the village of Cacapi, in the La Paz rainforest region.
Don Primo’s Hostel was born out of the efforts of members of the village of Cacapi, who have set up a community tourism association to provide accommodation, meals and local guide services.
Family-run, the Hostel has a camping area and refreshment facilities, where visitors can enjoy typical regional dishes in a natural environment rich in flora and fauna.

Additional Info
It is recommended to wear warm clothing to cross the highest peaks and light clothing for warmer climates, comfortable tread shoes, and to bring a cap, a hat, repellent, sunglasses and a camera.

Transportation
By public transport
From La Paz with minibuses from the San Pedro area, Luis Lara street to the Community of Palca, getting off at Ventilla. A little further on, in Choquecota, you will begin a 2 or 3 days walk to the lodge.
By private transport
From La Paz by road towards Palca. Shortly before arriving, continue along the Ventilla road to Choquecota. From there, you can reach the site with a 2 to 3 day hike.
It is recommended to carry out this journey with the help of guides who are experienced about route and with the tour operator.
Visiting Rules
For your health and the health of local population, remember to comply with all biosecurity protocols and codes of conduct before and during your stay: wear a mask and carry hand sanitizer, plus a first aid kit, with sunscreen and medications for altitude sickness.
