Lamas and alpacas abound in the surroundings of the community of Livichuco and its hostel; an ideal place to rest amidst the quietness of the Andean mountains.
The Apsu Livichuco is not just a place to spend the night, here you can also share experiences about the region’s history and culture.
The APSU Livichuco is not just a shelter, it’s the ideal place for travellers seeking a sustainable and meaningful experience and engaging with the local community.
One of the main features of the APSU Livichuco is precisely the involvement of the members of the community, providing rooms with capacity for up to 25 people, and common spaces, designed for socialising by travellers and the local families, where people can dance together, listen to stories and taste the local produce.
At the Apsu Livichuco, in fact, you will be served local dishes, based on llama meat, and quinoa produced on the community's land, chuño – a type of dehydrated potato – artisanal sheep's milk cheese and many other specialities.
Contact us to book your stay at the APSU Livichuco: here you can engage with the community and learn about the ancient Qaqachaqa culture.
