An exciting journey through the rugged Andean landscapes that characterise the Colcha K region.
The Path of Life is a walking route that is easily accessed from Santiago de Agencha, ideal for nature lovers.
Not far from the city of Santiago de Agencha is a place called Cañadón Poterro or Sendero de la vida (path of life), a trail that runs on the bed of a dried-up river in the most unspoiled nature.
Among the rock formations, which have been shaped over the years by the members of the community and transformed into paths, you can discover a sensational variety of natural and medicinal herbs: thanks to the local guides, the trail becomes a marvellous opportunity to learn about the characteristics and properties of each plant. A different view of the landscapes and the community, which live here in a perfect balance with nature.
About halfway along the trail, which follows the slope of the terrain, you come to a narrow passage through a huge rock. Locals say that whoever crosses this passage will succeed in a new project: hence the name "path of life".
